Emperor’s Legend Oolong

A Mi Xiang (蜜香) oolong — “honey fragrance” — from the less fashionable gardens of Luye. The aroma is open and sweet; the honey is in the leaf, not in a flavouring drum.

As vivid on the nose as it is sure on the palate: a long sweetness, a warm body, a tea people remember after the first cup. A favourite among the darker oolongs in this list.
